Some of the most compelling paintings come from the simple observation of the objects that already surround us in our daily lives.
In this intensive one-day masterclass held on Saturday the 7th of March, I will guide you through my personal process of translating everyday objects into vibrant, light-filled oil paintings.
We will focus on the core pillars of my practice: composition, colour mixing, and the application of tonal values. I will demonstrate how to keep your paint looking fresh and clean on the canvas, capturing the elusive qualities of lustre and light that make a still life truly pop.
During this workshop, I will share how to use big brushes to abbreviate detail to find the essence of your subject, aiming for that satisfying sharpness and sparkle that defines a professional still life.
