About this workshop
Andrea will tailor your lesson to your particular interests. If you're a beginner, Andrea will help you to set up your kit and your space so that you can go on to do your own thing with confidence that you have the right gear. You'll also receive step by step guidance on your painting, so that you have a process to follow when you practise on your own. If you're an experienced painter already, Andrea will share her techniques and processes to give you a different approach, or to address any areas in your painting that you feel need improvement. Andrea will call you before your lesson to discuss your specific requirements. What to bring If you are bringing your own oil painting materials, here is a brief list of what you will need. Andrea will supply you with a more detailed list after booking. Oil paint colours – White, a cool and a warm of each primary colour, red and yellow ochre and a dark grey or black. Brushes – One good quality flat brush, about 1.5 cms across the bristles (around a size 8 or 10),, one smaller flat brush and one filbert. Oil painting medium – Odourless or low odour lean medium (at least 100ml). Painting surfaces – Two canvases or panels around A3 size ODOURLESS solvent for clean up and diluting paints Other things – A big palette, disposable gloves, apron, tissues, rags, glass jars.
